It is always a great satisfaction for us, Brazilians, whenever we see one of our national wines gaining favor around the world. Two Brazilian labels won the Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial des Pinots, in Sierre, Switzerland. And Enovírtua will tell you what these awards were like and what labels they received.

Mondial Du Pinot – Switzerland
The Competition evaluated wines and sparkling wines made from the Pinot variety
Two Brazilian labels crossed the Atlantic and won Gold Medals at the Mondial des Pinot Competition, in Sierre, Switzerland. Held between August 16th and 18th, the competition brought together 1,212 samples from 410 producers from 29 countries. A jury of 59 experts evaluated the labels.
From Brazil, the director of the Brazilian Enology Association (ABE), winemaker Bruno Motter, who debuted as an international judge, highlights the diversity of the samples entered and the quality of the event. “We tasted wines and sparkling wines made from Pinot grapes from different styles and producing regions. You can see the typicality of the variety known and cultivated worldwide.” According to him, the categories tasted were Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and sparkling wines based on the variety.
